Bedok Town Wind Ensemble, formerly known as Bedok Town Alumni Band, is composed of former members of the school band. It was established in 2000 to nurture musicianship and to foster camaraderie amongst the alumni and between the School & the Alumni. Under the able batonship of Mr. Ivan Lim, the modest Band has grown from strength to strength over the years.
She performed with the Military Band first ticket-selling concert in 2006. It brought all past members and present members closer, musically and technically. In 2007, she decided to hold her own concert series, “Solfeggio”. “Solfeggio” is now an yearly event to showcase our music and each time, reaches a higher level of professionalism in music-making.
The Wind Ensemble also joined in with the Military Band for the annual school events, namely, CCA Open House and Speech Day. This further fosters our bonds and present ourselves with the motto that was inculcated in us since our secondary school days in the Military Band, “We Are Family”.
So now come alive and shine with us as we endeavor to keep the Band’s name at the forefront of music calibre everlasting!
